Sign in with Discord

Sign in with Discord lets the members of your Discord server log in to Outline with the account they already have, so there are no invites, passwords, or new team members to manage. Anyone who joins the server can get straight to the knowledge base, and anyone who leaves loses access automatically.

Control access with roles

Restrict sign in to members holding specific roles in your server, so moderators, contributors, or staff can be given access to Outline without opening it up to the whole community.

Setup

Discord authentication is available for self-hosted installations of Outline and takes a few minutes to configure with an application from the Discord Developer Portal. Step-by-step instructions are in the Discord authentication guide in our hosting documentation.
