# Umami integration

> Gain privacy-first insights into how your team consumes docs with your self-hosted Umami instance.

Connect a self-hosted [Umami](https://umami.is) instance and Outline will inject the Umami script across the app, giving you privacy-first insight into how your team consumes documentation without sending any data to a third party.

### Setup

In your Outline installation navigate to _Settings → Integrations → Umami_. Enter the **Instance URL** of your Umami installation, the **Script name** if you have renamed the default tracker script, and the **Site ID** for the website you created in Umami, then save.

> Note: The Umami integration is available on self-hosted and enterprise installations of Outline, and requires an admin role to configure.
