# Slab integration

> Import a Markdown export from Slab and bring your existing knowledge base across in one step.

Moving from [Slab](https://slab.com)? Export your workspace as a zip of Markdown documents and import it into Outline in a single step. Formatting, images, and links between documents are preserved and the folder structure is recreated as collections.

### Setup

1. In Slab, export your team's content as a zip archive of Markdown files.
2. In Outline, navigate to [Settings → Import](https://app.getoutline.com/settings/import), choose Slab, and upload the archive.

The import runs in the background and you can safely leave the page, you will be notified when it completes.

> Note: You must have an admin role to import content into a workspace.
