# Personal documents

Every member of your workspace now has a private space for their own documents. Personal documents appear in a new "Personal" section of the sidebar, a place for drafts, notes, and work-in-progress that only you can see – not even admins have access.

- **Truly private** – only the owner can see their personal documents, admins can't list, export, or manage them
- **Share when ready** – individual documents can still be shared with teammates or published to the web, and moved into a collection when they're ready for a wider audience
- **API and MCP support** – integrations can create documents in your personal space using the collection id `personal`
- **Admin control** – personal documents are enabled by default and can be turned off from workspace security settings, which makes existing personal documents read-only
